About the startup challenge
There is an enormous global opportunity for startups to bring new technologies and solutions to cities and help solve major civic challenges such as transportation, health, energy and pollution. Unfortunately, there are often bureaucratic process and policies that get in the way of startups meeting and engaging with key city officials or influencers in order to gain traction. By partnering with Smart Cities Connect Conference and Expo, the Smart Cities Startup Challenge allows startups to pitch, engage and receive feedback from city officials and representatives as well as investors and thought leaders in this space.
The Smart Cities Startup Challenge is a pitch competition that provides the opportunity for Smart Cities focused startups to pitch and interact with an esteemed panel of judges representing venture capitalists, city officials, business executives and thought leaders.
The top submissions will do a 3-minute pitch followed by a 5-minute Q&A session with the judge panel. In addition, each finalist will be assigned a pitch coach who will help refine and prepare your presentation for Pitch Day.
